If you believe that is you apply today!BenefitsHealth, dental and vision insurance (full-time employees)Paid Time Off (full-time and part-time employees)401K plan with company match (full-time and part-time employees)Hotel discounts (full-time and part-time employees)Paid holidays (full-time employees)Early access to earned wagesResponsibilities:Communicates daily with Director of Food and Beverage to ensure consistency and provide a quality event experience for all members and guestsAlong with the Director of Food and Beverage, manages banquet functions to ensure proper staffing, room preparation, and event executionRemains present for the entire event to ensure proper service standards are being executedAssists with event set up and insures specifications outlined in the Banquet Event OrderAssists with breaking down function areas as scheduled in accordance to departmental proceduresDemonstrates knowledge of menu items, preparation methods, and potential allergensMaintains contact with event coordinators and event host to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any complaintsRegularly conducts walk throughs and spot checks during events, ensures proper corrective actions are taken to address any deficienciesAnticipates guest needs and is willing to go above and beyond to accommodate themAssists in the selection, development, leadership and retention of talented food and beverage banquet staff membersEnsures proper grooming and uniform standards are followed by all employeesPerforms any other job related duties as assignedRequirements:2-3 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage with a strong concentration on Banquet OperationsSelf-starting personality with an even disposition. Willing to work a flexible schedule to include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidaysMust be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team playerMust have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquetteAbility to communicate effectively, perform multiple tasks and prioritize needs in fast paced environmentPositive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations SMI Hotel Group recruits the best and brightest, in order to deliver the highest quality service to our guests.
