Barge Maintenance Planner Assistant at Blessey Marine

We are seeking a Barge Maintenance Planner Assistant. Position can be in either Channelview or Liberty TX office.Blessey Marine Services Inc. owns and operates one of the youngest multi-faceted inland tank barge and vessel fleets in the United States.JOB TITLE: Planner Assistant DEPARTMENT: Barge Maintenance FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:Provideclerical support to the Planners Office of the Barge Maintenance all available systems and tools to facilitate repair and maintenanceactivities for the Blessey barge fleet.SUPERVISION:Reports to: Barge Maintenance Office ManagerSupervises: This position has nosupervisory responsibilitiesESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS:Process all preventative maintenance paperwork. Maintain additional reports for Barge Maintenance as required using SAP and Excel.Openupdate and close work orders as needed.Assistwith completing Freshwater and Polymerizing Cargo forms as needed and inpreparation for US Coast Guard inspections.Assistwith filing incident reports in correct locations.Fileand scan documents.Answerincoming calls taking accurate notes asking questions and providing messagesto the planner(s) and Barge Maintenance Manager.Assistwith special projects and other assignments within Barge Maintenance asneeded.QUALIFICATIONSMust be able to read write and speak clearly in the English language.High School diploma or GED required.One (1) to Two (2) years of Clerical experience. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams.High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.Knowledge of office administration procedures.Ability to operate most standard office equipment.Attention to detail in data entry.Meet deadlines.Proficient spelling grammar and written communication skills.Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.LANGUAGE SKILLS Abilityto read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professionaljournals technical procedures or governmental regulations.
