Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Baster/Painter Working LeadermanLocation: Fourchon, LAPosition Overview: A Working Leaderman is responsible for directing his/her workforce in the successful implementation of craft-specific activities as it relates to associated shipbuilding and/or repair functions.Key Responsibilities:• Directs and coordinates related craft activities.• Develops, reviews, and maintains schedules, budgets and other essential records.• Can read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and other technical guidance documentation.• Ensures material and labor resources necessary to accomplish tasks are readily available.• Meets with other supervisors to coordinate craft efforts.• Optimizes efforts to produce a high-quality work product consistent with Company standards.• Trains and motivates workforce to result in high levels of productivity.• Responds to daily personnel, equipment and facility issues; develops viable solutions and remedial actions.• Provides specific task requirements, technical and hands-on guidance to subordinates.
