Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT)Reports To: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Location: In-Home- Franklin LakesEmployment Type: Part-TimePosition SummaryThe Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) is responsible for implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Services are provided under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in home settings.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver 1:1 ABA therapy as directed by the supervising BCBA, following individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategiesRecord and maintain accurate data on client progress using electronic data collection systemsImplement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviorsFollow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBAAssist with the generalization of skills across environments, people, and settingsProvide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques in accordance with the client’s treatment planMaintain professional and ethical conduct in accordance with BACB guidelines (if applicable)Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetingsCommunicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical teamEnsure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all timesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferredRBT certification (preferred but not required at time of hire; required within 90 days of employment if applicable)Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferredReliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as neededMust pass background checks, including criminal history and abuse registry screeningsAbility to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periodsWork EnvironmentIn-home and/or center-based settingsMay involve working with clients who exhibit challenging behaviors including aggression, elopement, and self-injurySupervised regularly by a BCBA through direct observation, consultation, and performance feedbackSchedule and CompensationFlexible schedule based on client availabilityCompetitive hourly rate based on experience and credentialingOpportunities for professional growth, training, and supervision toward RBT certification
