Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNortheast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our growing team!FFS - Fee For Service PositionThe Behavior Technician will be responsible for the implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will monitor client behavior, collect data on client behavior, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.Qualifications:A high school diploma or a GED and have 24 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth or familiesORAn associates degree or higher in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management from an accredited community college or educational institution and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or familiesORCertification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or familiesOther Requirements:Required availability after school, evening and late evening hoursValid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicleStrong interpersonal and collaborative skillsExperience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferredEffective written and verbal communication skillsA compassionate approach to careABA Benefits:Northeast Family Services offers high-quality supervision of fieldwork experience for candidates seeking the BCBA or BCaBA credentials. A two-year contract is offered following successful completion of fieldwork experience.Northeast Family Services encourages interested staff to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician credential by offering RBT 40 hour training, initial competency assessment, ongoing skills-based supervision, and a $100 bonus upon obtaining RBT credential.Hands on training, with ongoing clinical support from supervising BCBAAccess to multiple, free monthly professional development and training activities on a rotation of relevant topics and skillsIndividualized supervision, focused on achievement of professional goals and skill advancementAccess to company technology, with productivity agreement of 20+ hours/weekTuition reimbursement program available to eligible employeesFlexible schedule, built to meet staff needsCompensation:$20-$27/hour depending upon experienceCompetitive Fee For Service RatesPotential for full time hour
