Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the Role:As a Behavior Therapist within the educational services sector, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with behavioral challenges by implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Your primary objective will be to assess, design, and deliver personalized behavior plans that promote positive behavioral changes and enhance learning outcomes. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to each individual's development. This role requires continuous monitoring and adjustment of therapeutic strategies to meet evolving needs and maximize progress. Ultimately, your work will contribute to improving the quality of life and educational success for the individuals you serve.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or equivalent credential.Experience working with children or individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges.Strong understanding of behavior analysis principles and therapeutic intervention techniques.Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in educational settings or working with school-aged children.Training in trauma-informed care or related therapeutic approaches.Familiarity with data management software and electronic health records.Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify individual needs and challenges.Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment data and best practices.Provide one-on-one therapy sessions and support in various educational and community settings.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.Maintain detailed documentation and reports in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings to stay current with therapeutic techniques and educational policies.Skills:The required skills enable the Behavior Therapist to accurately assess behavioral needs and develop effective intervention plans tailored to each individual.
