Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBehavioral Health Technician (BHT-ABA) Full time and Part Time Position AvailableBehavioral Health Autism Services (BHAS)SPIN is seeking dedicated and professional individuals for our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS-ABA). It is the responsibility of the BHT-ABA to provide one to one services to an identified child/adolescent with autism and their family. A BHT-ABA will work independently with the support of a Behavior Consultant/BCBA to deliver evidence-based services (Applied Behavior Analysis/ABA) to decrease challenging behaviors and increase adaptive skills in the home, school and community.You will also be responsible for:Supporting the child to decrease challenging behaviors and increase replacement skills.Supporting the child to develop and enhance functional communication and social behavior with peers, family members and other relationships by teaching skills, providing opportunities, and building on individual strengths and capabilities.Supporting each child to participate more fully and independently in family life, the community and school. Communicating with each child, their family, classroom staff and the rest of the IBHS-ABA team to gather information and communicate changing needs and progress toward attaining outcomes on an ongoing basis.Directly supporting children and their families in a variety of settings according to the individualized treatment plan.Implement skill acquisition programs, behavioral goals and interventions as stated in the individualized treatment plan Transfer skills to family members/caregivers and classroom staff Assisting in the assessment process by taking data during assigned sessions to determine outcomes, needs, and preferences of children.Use an electronic health record to record data and Clinical Notes after each sessionRequirements include: High School DiplomaBachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work or related field preferredPrior experience with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred. Prior experience with applied behavior analysis (DTI, NET, Verbal Behavior, and/or PRT) and/or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training preferred. Good organizational skillsClear, pleasant and courteous communicator, both written and oralAbility to work independently as well as be an effective multi-disciplinary team memberDriver’s license and vehicle and willingness to travelMonday - Friday8-40 Hours Weekly
