Behavioral Health Technician - Fayette at George Junior Republic

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionEstablished in 1909, George Junior Republic (GJR) and its affiliates provide opportunities for success and wellness to the individuals, families, and communities served. In late 2025, GJR in PA will expand services to include the opening of a Juvenile Secure Detention Facility in Fayette County, PA. In order to meet the needs of the youth placed in the facility, GJR in PA is hiring up to 15 Behavioral Health Technicians. Summary of the Position: The Behavioral Health Technician will be assigned to work 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., 3 p.m. - 11 p.m., or 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the safety, security, and ensure effective operations of the facility.Duties and Responsibilities:Implement treatment/programming and attend treatment team meetingsProvide safety and security at all timesComplete documentation as requiredProvide food service to persons servedCoordinate daily youth activities and follow established routine in order to support structureComplete required training per policies and regulationsPass medicationsProvide safety and security when transporting youth.Requirements: Associate's degree or successful completion of 60 credits.
