Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBehavioral Health Technician (BHT) - PRNSerenity for Life is a new women's residential program which opened October 1, 2025! It is a voluntary, 12-bed, luxury facility nestled in the mountains of Georgetown, Colorado. The number of beds and extended stay offers staff the ability to work closely with the residents and to make a difference in their lives, the lives of their loved ones, and the communities in which they reside. We utilize evidence-based practices and provide trauma informed care.We provide a safe, relaxing environment while offering residents the tools and support needed to manage their substance use and co-occurring disorders. The single rooms with stream and mountain views from the balconies and private hot tubs offer a peaceful environment for residents to heal and grow. The numerous outdoor adventures allow the residents to learn new activities, reduce stress, improve sleep, build self-confidence, and develop long-lasting friendships. We are looking for team members who have a passion for the behavioral health field, enjoy outdoor adventures, and value open communication, teamwork, innovation, and creativity.Position Summary:The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing a safe, structured, closely supervised living environment. This position works in cooperation with the clinical team in ensuring best practices are in accordance with agency standards.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with the intake process by inventorying client belongings and obtaining UA and breath samplesMay assist with vital signsPerform rounds at designated time schedules and documents observations of client behaviorAnticipate and respond to client needsShare client observations, concerns, and/or needs with medical/clinical teamEncourage client attendance with all scheduled activitiesEscort clients to events outside of the agency such as self-help meetings, outdoor adventures, appointments, and to/from the airport or another facilityAbide by "Vehicle Safety Emergency Policy and Procedures," including reporting any vehicle maintenance or concerns to direct supervisor Assist with referral and discharge resourcing and planningAttend required staff meetings and trainingsEnsure that the facility is always clean and neat At the beginning of every week, provide a Laundry Sign-Up sheet for clients to add their information if they want to participatePerform "common room" checks for drug or alcohol related items during idle time (e.g. evening - when clients are asleep). Provides service coordination and case management if CAS or CATProvides skill-based education if CAS or CATQualifications and Preferences:High school diploma or GED requiredOne to two years of relevant experience (preferred)BLS/AED or CPR/AED certified or able to obtain prior to client contactQMAP certified or able to obtain prior to workServSafe-Food Handler certified or in the process of obtainingCAS or CAT (preferred)Schedule:PRN - As neededSerenity for Life is a drug-and alcohol-free workplace.
