Position: Benefits Analyst
Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)
Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour
Location: Onsite Tampa, FL
Working Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday

About the Role
The Benefits Analyst supports the administration of employee benefit programsincluding health, welfare, and retirement plans. You'll be instrumental in facilitating benefits projects (Open Enrollment, audits, integrations), helping employees with inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with internal teams, carriers, and vendors to ensure efficient operations.
What You'll Do
- Administer day-to-day employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, 401(k), etc.)
- Respond promptly to employee questions about benefits eligibility, enrollment, claims, and coverage
- Support annual Open Enrollment activities, including system setup, communication, and training
- Maintain and audit HRIS benefit records to ensure data accuracy (Dayforce experience preferred)
- Coordinate with carriers/vendors to resolve eligibility, billing, and claims issues
- Assist with monthly invoice reconciliations and identifying discrepancies
- Prepare reports/documentation for audits and compliance
- Develop employee communications and educational materials; keep SharePoint page updated
- Uphold strict confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive information
Who We're Looking For
- Proactive, positive, and analytical professional with outstanding customer service skills
- Experience managing 401(k) retirement plans (including non-discrimination testing, audit process, and Form 5500 preparation)
- Confident analyzing data, conducting audits, resolving issues, and improving processes
- Thrives in fast-paced settings and manages multiple priorities to meet deadlines
- Natural relationship-builder and trusted resource for employees and vendors
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 13 years' experience in HR or benefits administration preferred
- Strong attention to detail; organized and communicative
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, adapt to change, and collaborate with teams
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook); Mail Merge in Word a plus
- HRIS experience (Dayforce preferred)
