Job TitleBenefits Specialist - ContractorJob DescriptionBenefits Administrator (Benefits Specialist)The Benefits Specialist is responsible for local administration of Benefits Wellness & Leave of Absence programs and employee inquiry resolution. This role is accountable for resolving escalated queries from Tier 1. The specialist possesses knowledge of benefits processes and regulations and is aware of its impact on participants. This person makes recommendations regarding health and wellness offerings and works with Benefits Broker and vendors to deliver comprehensive Health Welfare Retirement and Wellness offerings. The Benefits Specialist reports to the Manager of Compensation and Benefits and works closely with Vanderlandes Payroll Tier 1 HR Service Agents and HR Advisor teams.Service DeliveryProvides daily advice and solutions to US employees on Benefits 401k Plan Leave of Absence matters and translates into local policy where neededPresent benefits overview during new hire orientation and serves as a helpful resource to newly hired employeesIn conjunction with the benefits broker oversee annual open enrollment ensuring that employees are educated on benefit offerings and timelinesResponsible for maintaining the local knowledge base with pertinent Benefits informationPartners with benefits broker and Comp & Ben Manager to formulate and deliver a comprehensive wellness campaignCoordinate Wellness programming ensuring that physical financial and mental Wellness programs are executed appropriatelyPossesses a strong working knowledge of enabling technologies systems (e.g. Workday) and processes ensuring high quality service deliveryProcess qualifying life events and communicate with employees accordinglyPartners with LOA third party vendor HR Advisors and in-house labor attorney to ensure employee LOAs are compliant with company policies and federal regulations Partners with third party vendor to ensure timely and accurate COBRA administrationPartners with Service Award vendor to ensure delivery of milestone service awards to employees timely and accuratelyResponsible for vendor billing and payroll reconciliationPerform internal audits as neededContinuous ImprovementResponsible for collaborating with local People Services Lead and Comp & Ben Manager to understand and implement processes focusing on employee experience and continuous improvement of benefits and LOA processesResponsible for identifying service issues proactively proposing improvements and leading or supporting the implementation of changesBe part of (one or more) Capability Expert Communities to bring in the functional perspective in the overall maintenance and improvement of the HR CapabilitiesCompetencies & QualificationsCustomer CentricResponsiveConfidential & TrustworthyDrives ResultsNimble LearningCollaborativeEffective communicator and presenterQualifications:Five years of experience in administering local Benefits Leave of Absence programs and policiesKnowledge of Benefits and LOA federal regulations and lawsExperience working as an employee-facing Benefits service delivery professionalExperience working with an HRIS system preferably WorkdayBasic project management skillsRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Customer Service,Fmla,HIPAA,Microsoft Outlook,Benefits Administration,HRIS,Payroll,Employment & Labor Law,ADP,Human Resources,Phone Etiquette,Workday Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
