If youre passionate about making a difference and thrive in a collaborative setting New Bridge Medical Center is looking for a Billing Specialist.Job DutiesPerforms oversight of all claims relating to Integrated System of Care program and all other special billing programs.Collaborates with internal and external resources to assure all charges are captured and claims are billed timely.Prepares all monthly claims outside of the normal billing protocols and submits through designated methods.Resolves billing issues by discussing with third-party payer.Maintains accounts receivable files by entering and adjusting data.Maintains billing information by collecting analyzing and summarizing third-party billings accounts pending and late charges data and trendsPrepares monthly reporting of accounts receivable for all programs.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.Monitors contractual agreement and adjusts processes accordingly.Customer Service: respect flexibility knowledge confidence professionalism pleasant attitude patience and helpfulness. All responses should be timelyprofessional caring and respectful in accordance with Customer Service Performance expectationsMaintains established departmental policies and procedures objectives quality assurance program safety environmental and infection control standards. Assesses gaps in policies and procedures and create necessary policies and procedures to fulfill these gaps.Understands and adheres to the Medical Centers Code of Conduct.Familiar with the Medical Centers Mission Vision and Values Statements.OTHER JOB DUTIESPerforms other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization.BASIC COMPETENCIESEducation/LicensureMinimum of High School graduate College education preferred.Experience2-5 Years Medical Billing experience Hospital billing experience preferred.SkillsAnalyzing Information and ReportingDemonstrates strength with Internal and External CommunicationsDetail OrientedDemonstrates familiarity with computer programs used in the department.Speaks reads and writes English to the extent required by the positionUses protects and discloses patients protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standardSalary commensurate with experience within posted range$48000-$66000/YearWe provide a comprehensive benefits package including a competitive medical dental and vision plans.
