What's a typical day as a Bindery Operator? You will:

• Operate and set up bindery equipment including Polar/Seybold cutters, MBO folders, inserters, shrink-wrap, and PMC machines.
• Read and interpret work orders/job tickets to determine setup specifications and production instructions.
• Follow department startup, cleaning, and shutdown procedures.
• Maintain workflow to meet production schedules and due dates.
• Monitor and adhere to quality control (QC) standards and MPS processes.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues to minimize downtime.
• Load materials and feed machines according to job requirements.
• Track and report daily production output and material usage.
• Communicate order or equipment issues to supervisors and team members.
• Support Personalization, Affixing, Fulfillment, and Shipping departments as needed.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Subtype: 35 years of bindery or print finishing experience required
• Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test or demonstrate strong mechanical skills
• Basic computer/data entry skills
• Intermediate math skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
• Good decision-making, time management, and self-motivation
• Must pass a color vision test
• Reliable attendance record
• Willingness to work overtime, including extended hours during peak periods
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
