Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst Position Type: Full TimeLocation: Washington School Elementary ComplexReports to: Building Principal Salary: As per FEA Teacher ContractThis position qualifies for town benefits including Health Insurance General Description:The Franklin Public Schools a prek-12 district is seeking a skilled and experienced BCBA to support children staff and families within the district. The BCBA will work with special education and school-based teams on behalf of children who present with significant behavioral challenges. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Consult with team members regarding behavior plans curriculum modifications accommodations and social skills Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments and other behavior assessments Assist staff in conducting informal functional behavioral assessments Conduct scheduled consults with school staff Develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed for individual students or small groups of students Establish data collection protocol and procedures Monitor implementation of BIPs by teachers and staff Assist in graphing student data Analyze student data to determine efficacy of BIP Observe students in school setting Provide training demonstrations and modeling to staff and families as needed Assist in development of behavior goals for IEPs Attend IEP meetings parent meetings/conferences and staff meetings as needed/requested Serve as a resource for instructional and support staff Collaborate with district administration to meet student and program needs Will be a member of the safety response team Serve as a District Safety Care Trainer Qualifications Required:Current certification by the Behavior Analysis Certification BoardMust successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI) Qualifications Preferred: Previous classroom or special education teacher experience preferred Experience in a public school setting Able to take initiative and work independently Excellent communication skills Ability to work cooperatively with students staff and administrators Strong organizational skills flexibility and dependability We understand that our collective success depends on the robust exchange of ideasan exchange that is best when the rich diversity of our perspectives backgrounds and experiences flourishes.
