Job Description
Position Title:Board Certified Psychiatrist (MD) - Independent ContractorDescription:Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a qualified board certified MD to provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric care to patients with mental health and co-occurring disorders. This role involves performing psychiatric evaluations prescribing and managing medications collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered behavioral health care.Qualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.Wisconsin License EligibleBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry or Family Medicine with Behavioral Health experience.Valid and unrestricted state medical license.DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances.Minimum of 23 years of experience in behavioral health psychiatry or integrated care (preferred).Overall Responsibilities:Conduct psychiatric evaluations diagnostic assessments and physical examinations for new and existing patients.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.Prescribe monitor and adjust medications as needed to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.Collaborate closely with psychiatrists psychologists therapists social workers and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.Provide medical consultation with medical staffMaintain accurate timely and compliant documentation in electronic health records (EHR).Ensure all services meet ethical professional and regulatory standards including HIPAA and state behavioral health requirements.Stay up to date with developments in psychiatry psychopharmacology and behavioral health best practices.Core Competencies:Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their interactions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Compassionate patient-centered approach to care.Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse patient populations.Contract Details:Type:Independent Contractor (1099 status)Rate:Competitive Commission PaySchedule:Flexible; no on-call responsibilitiesWork Setting:Outpatient behavioral health clinic and/or telehealth and opportunities for in office work in any of our BHC locations (If desired)Start Date:Negotiable*In accordance with legal requirements and company policies successful candidates for this position will be required to complete the form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification and Background Check as part of the onboarding process*Required Experience:Contract Key Skills EMR Systems,Post Residency Experience,Hospital Experience,Transportation Management Systems,Behavioral Health,Library Services,Pharmacy Residency,Epic,Leadership Experience,Mental Health Counseling,PTSD Care,Addiction Counseling Employment Type : Contract Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 115 - 200
