Aphios Corporation is conducting a search for a distinguished physician leader to serve as a Board-Level Clinical Advisor and Consulting Chief Medical Officer.

Aphios is a clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing proprietary nanotechnology-enabled therapeutic platforms designed to improve drug delivery and clinical outcomes across several areas of significant unmet medical need. The company’s development programs span multiple therapeutic areas including:

• Neurodegenerative disease

• Infectious disease (including HIV)

• Oncology and supportive care

• Substance-use disorder

As the company advances its programs toward IND submission and early clinical development, Aphios seeks an experienced clinical development leader to provide strategic oversight of clinical and regulatory planning.

Role:

The Clinical Advisor / Consulting CMO will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, scientific leadership team, and Board of Directors to guide the company’s clinical strategy and development roadmap.

This role focuses on high-level clinical strategy and regulatory insight, rather than day-to-day operational management.

Key areas of contribution include:

·       Advising on clinical development strategy and trial design

·       Providing guidance on IND preparation and regulatory engagement

·       Supporting translation of preclinical discoveries into clinical programs

·       Advising on clinical safety strategy and therapeutic positioning

·       Providing clinical perspective in investor and strategic partnership discussions

·       Helping shape the company’s long-term clinical and regulatory roadmap

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced physician executive or physician-scientist with significant clinical development experience in biotechnology or the pharmaceutical industry.

Typical backgrounds may include:

·       Former Chief Medical Officer or VP Clinical Development in biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies

·       Senior clinical leaders with experience guiding IND-stage or early clinical programs

·       Academic physician-scientists with strong translational medicine and clinical research leadership

Preferred qualifications include:

·       MD or MD/PhD

·       Significant experience with FDA regulatory processes and clinical trial design

·        Demonstrated ability to guide clinical development strategy for innovative therapeutic programs

·       Interest in contributing to a highly collaborative, science-driven biotechnology company
