Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRechtien Group is seeking a skilled and dependable Body Shop Technician to perform high-quality body repairs on commercial vehicles. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, works well independently, and can deliver consistent, reliable results in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform body repairs on trucks and commercial vehicles, including dent removal, panel replacement, welding, fiberglass repair, and refinishing.Diagnose damage and determine appropriate repair methods according to OEM standards.Sand, mask, prep, prime, and paint vehicle surfaces to achieve professional, factory-grade finishes.Repair and restore frames, bumpers, doors, fenders, and other structural components.Inspect completed repairs to ensure quality, accuracy, and safety compliance.Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area and follow all company safety standards.Document repair work performed and communicate status updates to supervisors or estimators.Operate body shop tools and equipment safely, including welders, spray guns, sanders, and grinders.Collaborate with parts and service departments to ensure efficient workflow and accurate repair timelines.QualificationsPrevious experience as a body shop technician, collision repair technician, or similar role required.Strong understanding of body repair techniques, surface prep, refinishing, and structural repair.Experience with welding, painting, and use of collision repair tools and equipment.Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs at once.High attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off401(k) with company contributionOpportunities for training and career advancementAbout Carolina International TrucksFounded in 1992, Carolina International Trucks is the largest commercial truck dealer in South Carolina.
