JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description Job Description MOSER AUTOMOTIVE - BODY TECHNICIAN Experienced Automotive Body Technician (Restoration & Custom Work)

Edmond, Oklahoma
Moser Automotive Restoration & Custom Modification

About Us

Moser Automotive is a high-end restoration and custom shop specializing in 1960s-1980s classic vehicles, with a strong focus on Ford Mustangs and Shelby builds.

We are not a production collision shop.
We build complete vehicles from the ground up - metal work, panel replacement, rust repair, bodywork, and full paint preparation at a very high level.

If you take pride in your work and want to be part of builds that actually matter, this is the place.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled body technician who can step in and produce quality work without constant supervision.

This is not an entry-level position.
You must already know how to do the work.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Metal repair and rust repair (patch panels, fabrication, etc.)
  • Panel replacement (quarters, floors, trunk pans, etc.)
  • Bodywork and filler shaping
  • Panel alignment and gap setting
  • Blocking and prep for primer and paint
  • Working alongside paint department to bring vehicles to final stage
  • Maintaining clean, organized work areas
  • Communicating progress and issues clearly
What We're Looking For

We need someone who:

  • Has real hands-on experience in bodywork (not just helper work)
  • Can complete jobs correctly the first time
  • Understands fitment, gaps, and straight panels
  • Takes pride in quality - not just getting it "done"
  • Can manage their own time and stay productive
  • Shows up consistently and works hard
  • Works well with a team and respects the shop environment
Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in bodywork (restoration or collision)
  • Ability to perform metal work and panel replacement
  • Own basic tools required for body work
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Classic car or restoration experience
  • Experience with full builds (not just insurance work)
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Ability to lead or help train lower-level techs
What We Offer

  • Steady, consistent work (no shortage of projects)
  • High-end builds - not repetitive insurance jobs
  • Opportunity to grow into a lead role
  • Performance-based bonuses (based on production and quality)
  • Professional shop environment with long-term vision
Important

We are building a strong team and a high-level operation.

If you are:

  • Constantly redoing work
  • Cutting corners
  • Or need to be told what to do all day
This will not be a good fit.

If you take pride in your work and want to be part of something growing - we want to talk.
