Job Description Job Description Job Opportunity: Boilermaker LEAD Staffing Hampton Roads, VA Location: Norfolk Schedule: Full-Time Contract 40 hours per week (Overtime as required) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to support shipyard operations in, VA. This role involves assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and related shipboard systems. Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers.
  • Lay out, cut, and form metal plates and components per specifications.
  • Perform welding, bolting, and fitting operations on pressure-containing equipment.
  • Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of completed assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures, and technical manuals.
  • Inspect completed work for compliance with codes and specifications.
  • Maintain rigging and lifting equipment used in boilermaker operations.
  • Follow all shipyard safety procedures and pressure vessel codes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of boilermaker experience; marine or shipyard environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of ASME pressure vessel codes and welding procedures.
  • Proficiency in welding and fitting operations on heavy-gauge materials.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be willing to undergo background check and drug screening.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended schedules as required.
  • Clean driving record required.
Work Environment
  • Shipyard and industrial settings
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, confined spaces, and marine/industrial hazards
  • PPE required at all times
