Bookkeeper Basic at Jordan Staffing

Temp To PermLK Jordan is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to record financial transactions process accounts payable and receivable and also handle payroll. Additional duties may include preparing financial statements and managing payroll taxes. Schedule is Monday- Friday from 8am-5pm and pay rate can go up to $25 hourly depending on experience. Ideal candidate must have an exceptional attention to detail high accuracy interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator. This is a temp to hire position and will go permanent based on performance.Responsibilities:Record financial transactions (income expenses etc.) using accounting software.Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts regularly.Prepare accurate financial statements including balance sheets and income statements.Ensure the accuracy completeness and compliance of all financial records.Assist with audits by providing required documentation and support.Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and standards.Accurately calculate and process employee payroll.Maintain up-to-date payroll records including deductions benefits and withholdings.Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed.Ensure compliance with payroll laws tax regulations and reporting requirements.Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve issues promptly.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.12 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll processing.Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero).Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Completion of a background check and drug screen.To apply please send a current resume to LK Jordan & Associates is an equal opportunity employer.
