Boone County Farm Bureau Outreach Coordinator at Farm Bureau Financial Services

Boone County Farm Bureau is seeking an Outreach Coordinator who embodies these qualities and more. Basic Function Perform communications and outreach duties on behalf of the Boone County Farm Bureau. Duties include creating documents in a Microsoft environment, managing social media communications, Ag in the Classroom program management, coordinating outreach opportunities in community and schools as well as partnership development. Essential Functions Maintain regular contact with supervisor regarding Farm Bureau activities Research, prepare and submit articles to the Spokesman and local media Maintain a social media presence on important platforms Coordinate Ag in the Classroom programming within county school districts Develop and coordinate outreach efforts as directed by the County Board of Directors Assist Ag in the Classroom Coordinator and coordinate supplemental Ag in the Classroom opportunities within county school districts Coordinate activities and records for the county board of directors including; preparation of documents and materials for the County Board of Directors meetings. Examples include timely meeting notices, meeting minutes, preparing details for discussion topics, preparing agenda items, preparing refreshments, and follow up on details post meeting Work and communicate with Committee Chairs, Executive Officers, and Board of Directors as needed on projects or county business Serve as a positive liaison between supervisor, staff, volunteers, and affiliated companies Collect and enter member advertisements in the Spokesman Membership data base updates and reports Collect and process membership information or payments from renewing clients Additional Details: Part time (32 hours per week) Based in Boone, Iowa with programs conducted throughout Boone County Join us in making a meaningful impact on our community and advancing a deeper appreciation for agriculture among its residents!
