As a mentor this position directly oversees student will demonstrate leadership and managerial capabilities a high level of dependability and independence attention to detail flexibility and a friendly outgoing personality.The Wisconsin Union Theater (WUT) is the premier performing arts presenter at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Learn more about WUT at : Key Job Responsibilities:Work with student staff to ensure the smooth operation of the box office and high levels of customer service are being offered.Reconciles daily box office receipts prepares transmittals and deposits and administers accounting reports for cash flow and ticket revenueManages computerized ticketing system including software changes updates and formats hardware maintenance and communication with software vendorMay hire train schedule and supervise student and/or staff membersWork with campus partners and presenting organizations to determine the best strategies for selling tickets to each unique event.Develops and implements plans for audience development and subscription ticket sales including publicity releases print and media advertising mailings on-line ordering and other marketing and public relations campaignsSupervises the front of house activities for productions including ushers and box office personnelDepartment:Wisconsin Union Social Education TheaterCompensation:The starting salary for the position is $56112 - but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.Required Qualifications:3 Years of Previous Box Office experience including overseeing ticketing and box office services1-3 years of experience in a supervisory role preferably within a performing arts organization and/or University setting3 years of customer service in the Ticketing industry or similar settingKnowledge and experience working with ticketing software (preferably AudienceView) ticketing IT customer relations management subscription sales group sales and trainingDemonstrated ability to supervise direct and effectively train/mentor student employees.Ability to multi-task and problem solveFlexibility in schedule and willing to adjust personal schedule to accommodate needs of Campus Arts Ticketing and the Wisconsin Union TheaterPreferred Qualifications:5 years of Box Office experience including overseeing ticketing and box office services.Experience with ticketing software preferably AudienceViewExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and manage multiple projects at onceEducation:HS Diploma or GED requiredBachelors Degree or higher preferred.How to Apply:Click the Apply button to start the application process.You will be prompted to upload the following documents:-Resume-Letter of Qualifications/Cover LetterApplicants should attach a letter of qualifications and resume detailing their training and experience relating to the required and preferred qualifications referenced above.
