Boys Varsity Swim and Dive Assistant Coach at Greenhills School

POSITION SUMMARYThe Athletic Department has an opening for a qualified and dynamic boys varsity baseball assistant coach. A coach with a background in pitching is preferred but not required. Greenhills seeks a candidate that embraces the challenge of fielding a highly competitive team of motivated student-athletes.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESComply and meet all Greenhills procedures and policies as outlined in the MHSAA and Greenhills coaches handbooksProvide clear instructional strategies and developmentally appropriate practices and training sessionsPromote a positive attitude and academic achievementReflect on coaching practices and seek out opportunities for professional developmentSupport and encourage multiple sport participation for studentsPractice clear timely and professional communication with students parents and colleaguesAvailability in afternoons daily for practices and/or contests. Some weekends also.Cultivate student accountability and commitment to the teamThe assistant coach will work closely with the head coach on all aspects of the program including scheduling off-season training player development culture building strategy and in-game responsibilities.Ensure the safety of students by providing a clean and safe environment appropriate supervision safety instruction regular facility and equipment inspectionServe as a role model in maintaining appropriate standards of care for students and maintaining healthy boundaries in student and professional relationshipsHow to ApplyInterested candidates should submit a cover letter with résumé/CV to Director of Athletics Tom Ward at .The essential functions and basic skills have been included.
