Branch Manager at Helix Traffic Solutions
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Traffic Control Branch Manager to lead the operations of our Albany, NY location. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of traffic control services—including planning, coordination, compliance, staffing, and client satisfaction. You’ll manage a dedicated team of technicians and flaggers while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of every project.

• Lead daily branch operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Develop, review, and execute detailed traffic control plans, including lane closures, detours, and deployment of traffic devices.
• Ensure all operations strictly follow local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Manage hiring, staffing, scheduling, training, and certification requirements for all branch personnel.
• Provide ongoing safety training, coaching, and performance management for team members.
• Track project progress, proactively resolving operational and safety issues.
• Maintain and oversee inventory of equipment, tools, and traffic control devices, ensuring availability and proper function.
• Collaborate closely with contractors, project managers, and engineers to align traffic control plans with project timelines.
• Conduct regular field inspections to ensure compliance and adjust plans as needed.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, municipalities, and other key stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage project budgets while ensuring cost-effective, high-quality performance.
• Prepare and deliver reports on safety, performance, financials, and operational metrics.
• Drive improvements in branch efficiency, safety, team performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Investigate incidents or accidents and implement corrective actions as needed.
