As the US #1 Veterinarian Recommended pet food brand knowledge is our first ingredient with 220 veterinarians PhD nutritionists and food scientists working to develop breakthrough innovations in pet health.We are seeking aBrand Manager located in our Overland Park KS office whois responsible for the marketing strategies development and plans across commercial operations to achieve the financial and market share objectives of the sub-brand under their responsibility. Leads the development of sub-category / brands strategies including Innovation Grid Brand activations Promotional Events Media and 5P strategies taking into consideration the business dynamics and opportunities. Drives the execution of margin improvement and simplification initiatives within sub-brand.What You Will Do:Brand StrategyDevelop omni-channel marketing communication and media strategies using insights & analytics to drive share growthIdentify issues / opportunities analysis and propose action plans to achieve the objectives of the brandManage brand P&L and A&P budgetsBrand and key segment product portfolio managementLead long-term downstream new product innovation and annual new product launch strategiesParticipate in strategic brand planning and overall brand communications plansGain Senior Mgt alignment to brand strategies and go-to-market plansDevelop omni-channel brand support initiatives critical metric tracking & return on investment.Managing large cross-functional teams to lead commercialization effortsGo-to-Market & IMC CommunicationsDevelop and lead execution for omni-channel go-to-market strategies for new product launches quarterly tentpole activations key growth categories and strategic business initiativesLead the creative development of brand marketing IMCsDevelop digital media campaignsDevelop strategic 6P marketing plans and important metricsWork closely with the Retail Marketing and Brand Development Managers to facilitate successful implementation of initiativesIdentify & lead key test and learn opportunitiesDrive the execution of margin improvement and revenue growth management initiativesInsights & AnalyticsAnalyze data (sales competitive category) and identify key insights that can be turned into measurable marketing plansDevelop strong business and functional understanding of the category our products and the competitive set and develop plans to address issues/opportunitiesDevelop & utilize strong consumer & shopper insights of the category market and condition of focus.Understand the pet specialty REs and field team needs to deliver strong promotional and marketing programs.Commercial Planning and MonitoringSupport Long Lead Planning Budget Review and Mid-Year ReviewOngoing monitoring and analysis on brand sales volume market share promotional activities competitive insightsRecommend areas for brand improvement and remediationRequired Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Marketing Business Administration or a Related Field5 years of experience in CPG marketing retail or brand marketing experience or agency experienceInfluential communicator: builds cross-functional relationships and negotiates effectively to align stakeholdersAnalytical problem-solver: strong critical thinking with the ability to uncover measurable insights from large datasets to drive decisionsPreferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in Business Administration2 years of marketing experience in Animal Healthcare or Human HealthcareDigital/eComm marketing knowledge (paid search digital display social etc)Knowledge of Retail Environment strategyAbility to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneouslyCompensation and BenefitsSalary Range $110000.00 - $145000.00 USDPay is determined based on experience qualifications and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses profit-sharing and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision basic life insurance paid parental leave disability coverage and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employees hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws.
