The student body includes approximately 20000 undergraduate and 1900 graduate students with over 1000 full-time instructional faculty.General Information:The Breeze is hiring two Senior Anchors/Managing Editors for its weekly news showBreeze TV. Students selected will lead the weekly newscast and have a leadership roleon the staff as managing editors of the show.As anchors students will be part of a two-person team that hosts the show. Asmanaging editors students will work with the News Director in editing news andmentoring reporters.Positions begin April 1 with training during the weeks immediately after springbreak. Must be able to be back on campus two weeks prior to the beginning of the fallsemester.Duties and Responsibilities:- Anchoring the weekly show- Anchoring special shows such as Elections coverage or other breaking-news coverage- Assisting the news director in leading the team to produce each weeks show- Mentoring and training reporters- Setting the editorial direction of the newscastQualifications:- Broadcast abilities including on-air presence and ability to report under deadline on alive TV show- Ability to lead a team- News judgment- Broadcast editing abilities- Mentoring skills- Ability to meet deadlinesAdditional Posting Information:Conditions of Employment:Students must be degree-seeking students enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).E-Verify Notice: After accepting employment new hires are required to complete an I-9 form and present documentation of their identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
