Well train you in all three of these roles Barback Busser and Food Runner. Each one plays such an important role in our Brew Pubs operations! This role is a great way to get your foot in the door and learn the inner workings of our restaurant if you have your sights set on a serving or bartending position with us in the future. Keep reading to find out more about the expectations of this position and if it could be just right for you!Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Bar Back:Removes plates utensils and glassware from bar as neededBrings bus tub to dish pit and sorts appropriatelySweeps behind bar as neededWipes off bar after guests leave and as needed with either murphys oil or sanitizerKeeps all surfaces behind bar cleanSprays down floor mats bar mats and drainsCleans glassware and restocks always keeping bartenders well-supplied with glasswareAssists bartenders as neededGreets guests with menus if bartender is busyLoads runs and unloads bar dishwasherChanges kegsCarries trash recycling and linen bagEmpties broken glass bucketRestocks coolers and shelves behind barPerforms closing dutiesBusser:Keeps a roaming eye on the floor so they can be ready to bus a table once the guests have leftUses bus tubs as needed to help efficiently bus tablesTakes plates glassware and other dishes to the dish pitProperly organizes trash compost and recycling into their respective receptaclesKeeps clean linens and sanitizer spray available to wipe down tables and re-set them for serviceSweeps under tables as neededKeeps dish pit organized when dropping off dishes and respects dishwashers spaceFood Runner:Stands behind the expeditor in the kitchen ready to run food as it comes into the windowMemorizes table and seat numbers to efficiently drop food where it goes without confusionCarries food on trays down the stairs to the downstairs barAsks guests if anything else is needed before returning to the expo lineAdditional duties may be assigned as necessary.Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of and love for food and craft beerTeamworkResponsibilityDependabilityMulti-taskingAdaptabilityEducation and/or Experience:High school diploma/GEDMinimum of 1 year in a customer service roleIf you dont fit all the above Qualifications please dont let that stop you from applying!
