JOB DESCRIPTION

Budget Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Budget Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support budget tracking and monitoring, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with internal policies. You will also manage SAP transactions, assist with monthly budget reporting, and collaborate with various teams to resolve financial issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support budget tracking and monitoring, maintaining accurate records of expenditures.
  • Process and manage SAP transactions, including budget entries and financial data updates.
  • Review and validate financial data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with monthly budget reporting, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain organized documentation of financial records, invoices, and procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, and cross-functional teams to resolve budget or payment-related issues.
  • Support budget planning and forecasting activities.
  • Identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist in improving internal processes related to budget control and reporting efficiency.
  • Plan and coordinate internal events and special programs.
  • Support business planning, budget projection, and financial management.
  • Prepare for investment consultations and support financial reporting.
  • Foster communication with counterparts.
  • Assist design studio head and staff with administrative tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPS.
  • At least 5 years of budgeting experience, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar large enterprise/legacy program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance Operations, or Administrative roles.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP for financial transactions and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment

The position is onsite within a cubicle environment, necessitating strong communication skills and the ability to manage stress and workloads effectively.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
