Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance Vintage Realty Company is seeking to fill a full-time hourly non-exempt Building Maintenance Engineer (BME) position to provide support for commercial office buildings in the Shreveport, LA. This position reports to the Building Maintenance Engineer Manager and Property Manager. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair duties including maintaining the appearance of the grounds and facilities. The successful candidate will be mechanically inclined, willing to train and learn new skills, be a dependable and motivated self-starter, provide excellent customer service and have a friendly and professional demeanor. Other duties include but are not limited to the following:Perform regular inspections, complete vacant space make readies and special projectsTest and replace parts and components in plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systemsIdentify, recommend, and implement preventative and on-going changes to preserve or upgrade equipmentParticipate in the annual budget preparation processEvaluate and maintain facility and grounds, meeting operational standards, and schedule testsMaintain fire and safety standards for all areas of the facility and groundsSupply hand toolsAbility to operate all necessary hand tools to make repairsMaintain a clean work area to ensure a safe job siteCollectively execute the maintenance program ensuring timely work order service and cost effective inventory control of property resourcesTakes initiative to perform needed tasksOther duties as assignedJob RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentHVAC certificationMinimum 2 years experience in plumbing, carpentry and general maintenanceAbility to frequently lift, push, pull 50 poundsAbility to frequently kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, ect.The management company provides competitive pay and excellent benefits including mileage pay, uniforms, medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance as well as 401 (k), vacation, sick, personal time and holiday pay.All candidates should have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license, a clean driving record & automobile insurance.
