Were proud to offer many development and advancement opportunities to our nearly 50000 members of the Sanford Family who are dedicated to the work of health and healing across our broad footprint.Work Shift:12 Hours - Varied Shifts (United States of America)Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Salary Range: $18.00 - $29.00Union Position: NoDepartment DetailsOur team focuses on indoor maintenance and supports facility compliance through management and completion of preventative maintenance and work orders in a safe and professional manner.What Youll Do:-Perform routine maintenance including electrical plumbing carpentry painting HVAC and bed repairs-Troubleshoot issues and accurately explain conditions and solutions-Read and work from blueprints schematics and technical manuals-Maintain a safe and efficient work environment-Work independently with minimal supervisionSchedule is Wednesday-Wednesday followed by 6 days off:Wed 0100-0700 6 hrs.Thurs 2100-0700 10 hrs. Fri. 1900-0700 12 hrs. Sat. 1900-0700 12 hrs. Sun. 1900-0700 12 hrs. Mon. 1900-0700 12hrs. Tues. 2100-0700 10 hrs. Wed. 1900-0100 6 hrs.SummaryResponsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks completed in a safe professional manner.Job DescriptionMust take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and specifically keep tools out of the reach of children. Must possess basic mechanical knowledge and show competence in the use of hand tools meters measuring devices and gauges. Ability to work from blueprints schematics and technical manuals helpful. Must be able to explain conditions and situations accurately while troubleshooting and function with safety moral end efficiency of the department in mind. Ability to work all shifts and hours as scheduled. Must comply with all corporate and facility policies and dress code. Must understand written and verbal communications. Good written and oral communications skills required. Works independently with minimal supervision. Must have knowledge of federal state and local codes specifications and ordinances. Depending on facility size additional duties may include but are not limited to: perform installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems including boiler operations to ensure a safe and efficient environment; maintain campus grounds and perform other outside maintenance duties; perform general duties such as electrical plumbing carpentry painting HVAC and bed repair and require on-call duties as needed or as directed by the department.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. Trade school or vocational school preferred.
