This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of all Meridian buildings and grounds in various counties based out of Muncie Delaware County Indiana working M-F 7:30 - 4:00 with with potential 24/7 on call rotation with other maintenance technicians.Travel is required and candidate must have valid drivers license. Company vehicles will be used to travel to Meridian sites.PLEASE INCLUDE A RESUME OF YOUR EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.Key Responsibilities:Maintain general upkeep of Meridian properties such as plumbing electrical general carpentry repairs drywall painting heating and cooling systems etc.Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits switches outlets lighting fixtures ballasts breakers power cords etc.Repair install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as lavatories toilets dishwashers tubs/showers water lines etc.Repair and painting of walls.Inspect buildings including roofs and common areas regularly.Perform scheduled and unscheduled service requests and/or repairs.Perform routine ground maintenance to include clearing ice and snow collecting trash on the grounds landscaping and lawn maintenance custodial etc. to assure safety of patients staff and visitors.Conduct safety equipment checks for all facilities which includes fire extinguishers emergency lights exit lights alarm systems company vehicles etc.Observes safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.Perform on-call in a weekly rotating schedule (24/7) for prompt response to emergent maintenance needs.Physical ability to climb and work from ladders do heavy lifting and work in extreme conditions (both hot and cold).Must possess the ability to learn and/or operate relevant technology such as computer laptop tablet and/or smart phone and operate a variety of office equipment (fax machine copier scanner etc).Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.Must comply with all Meridian policies and procedures as well as Meridians Corporate Compliance Program as it applies to individual job duties the department and the company.Wear appropriate protective equipment when completing tasks that may involve exposure or potential exposure to blood body fluids or tissue.Tools supplies and a company vehicle will be provided in order to complete job responsibilities.Other duties as assigned.We are seeking candidates with the following qualities:High school diploma or equivalent. Combination of education training and minimum of two years general maintenance experience. Knowledge of residential and/or commercial systems components such as HVAC plumbing electrical carpentryOSHA Certification 10 hour required. Must maintain a valid drivers license current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization.
