Performs preventative maintenance on all building systems and components. The primary function of the position is to perform repair upgrade schedule and organize the upkeep of the assigned buildings grounds facilities rooms storage areas and all of its equipment services and vehicles. The Building Operator will ensure the maintenance safety cleanliness and organization of the building its property vehicles and its contents.Minimum Qualifications: Requires 3-5 years in one (or a combination) of the following fields: HVAC/R electrical plumbing and/or general maintenance. Maintains a valid drivers license and must be insurable under the University of Toledos driving policies Knowledge of general maintenance and general repair practices Ability to use math read and write common vocabulary read blueprints understand manuals and verbal instructions (technical in nature) Ability to walk climb bend twist kneel and lift up to 50lbs.Preferred Qualifications:Conditions of Employment:To promote the highest levels of health and well-being the University of Toledo campuses are tobacco-free.
