School Bus Driver

Qualifications

You will be a great fit if you:

• Are reliable and dependable to a fault - our children depend on you!
• Bring positivity and a caring attitude to the children you care for
• Are detail oriented, patient and flexible

What you have:

• Ability to relate positively with young children
• Ability to drive school bus to transport children to and from school
• High school diploma or equivalent; prefer some college course work related to early childhood education
• Clean driving record for the last five years
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred
• Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Ability to commit to a split shift schedule
• Must be first aid and child/adult CPR certified
• Successful background check and VA licensing standards required
• At least 23 years of age

What you will do:

• Drive bus on all scheduled routes to and from school as well as approved activities
• Always operate within the legal speed limits and in safe fashion without exception
• Communicate with teachers, parents and children to meet the needs of each transported child
• Work a split shift leaving the middle of your day free!
