The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas elevates the brunch and dinner buffet experience with a feast of delectable options including many made-to-order dishes crafted by Executive Chef Craig Herber and his culinary experts.At 16 tantalizing food kitchens discover cuisine from around the world including fresh-made pasta Latin dishes including authentic street tacos Asian specialties like pristine sushi and wok-fried favorites an eggs Benedict station and American classics including butcher-inspired hand-carved cuts smoky barbecue choices with all the fixings premium seafood selections chilled shrimp cocktail and an array of sides and salads bread and cheeses.Of course no feast would be complete without dessert and the patisserie at The Buffet offers a wondrous collection of pastries cakes pies puddings gelatos and ice cream with a delightful assortment of toppings.As Bus Person at The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas your role will include:Job Responsibilities: Assist the severs and other team members as neededAssist the severs in providing complimentary snacks to guestsCarrying trays of food to tables and soiled items back to designated stationBringing soiled bus tubs to the designated cleaning stationClearing and resetting tablesOrganizing plates at the expo station delivering food from the kitchen to the guest and explaining the food items to the guestGreet guests in a positive friendly manner with eye contact and intentionCommunicates the needs of guests to co-workers kitchen and managementActively participate and contribute to pre-shift meetingsExecute water service as necessaryConsistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by managementFull knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage menu items specifications and allergens included Assists with moving chairs and tables as needed Responsible for performing table maintenance by checking on the guest throughout serviceMaintaining health code standardsBid farewell to guests using guests name when known and encourage them to returnMaintain a level of professionalismAnticipate the guests needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgencyWork as a team assisting all guests and employees needs and inquiriesPerform all other job-related duties as requestedBe familiar with all hotel services features and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries accuratelyComplete opening closing and ongoing side duties not limited to fold/stack napkins filling snack bins polish glassware polish silverware stock glassware restock china restock supply cabinets and service stations inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.Qualifications : Candidates must be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner.The ability to communicate in a 2nd language is considered a plus.Requires minimum of 1-year previous work experience in a casual dining restaurant or lounge.Candidates must be highly organized and possess the ability to set and clear tables without breakage.Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.Applicants must be 21 years of age or above.Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required at present or in the future for this position at all times.Additional Information : Wynn Resorts is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
