If you are energized by the impact you can make at Upstart wed love to hear from you!The TeamWere looking for a Business Analyst with 2 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment to join the Lending Partnerships team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving learning quickly and adapting to shifting priorities.As a Business Analyst Youll work with Upstarts Customer Success teams to support both banks and credit unions utilizing Upstarts Consumer lending technology assist in structured projects and emerging business needs helping drive insights and operational efficiency as our business evolves.Youll gain exposure to multiple functions across the business finance compliance product and customer success and develop a strong foundation that can open doors to several potential career paths at UpstartHow youll make an impact:Partner and Client SupportRespond promptly and professionally to partner requests resolving questions about reports access and data accuracy.Support monthly reporting delivery across lending partners ensuring reports are accurate consistent and delivered on schedule.Manage administrative tasks such as user access password resets and data visibility permissions across systems and teams.Coordinate with internal teams (Finance Compliance and Product) to resolve reporting and reconciliation discrepancies.Data and Financial AnalysisPull and analyze key metrics (e.g. ticket creation completion trends and partner activity) to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.Use SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau Looker or Power BI) to generate insights that enhance partner and internal team performance.Assist with reconciliation and financial reporting tasks such as loan balances remittances and quality assurance.Process Improvement and Cross-Functional CollaborationIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve reporting accuracy and timeliness.Collaborate across teams to ensure operational readiness for new product launches and system updates.Help document and enhance internal processes to improve scalability and partner satisfaction.Ad Hoc Projects and Emerging Business NeedsSupport new initiatives and one-off projects as the business evolves demonstrating adaptability and ownership in ambiguous situations.Communicate project results and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesMinimum Qualifications:2 years in a business analyst operations or strategy role; experience in fintech banking or financial services strongly preferred.Bachelors degree in Business Economics Finance or a related field preferred.Proficiency in Google Sheets or ExcelExperience working with SQL or data visualization tools such as Tableau Looker or Power BIPreferred QualificationsDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative fast-paced environmentComfort with ambiguity and shifting prioritiesEntrepreneurial mindset: curious resourceful and proactiveFamiliarity with financial services fintech or consumer lending industriesWhat youll loveCompetitive Compensation (base bonus & equity)Comprehensive medical dental and vision coverage with Health Savings Account contributions from Upstart401(k) with 100% company match up to $4500 and immediate vesting and after-tax savingsEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Life and disability insuranceGenerous holiday vacation sick and safety leaveSupportive parental family care and military leave programsAnnual wellness technology & ergonomic reimbursement programsSocial activities including team events and onsites all-company updates employee resource groups (ERGs) and other interest groups such as book clubs fitness investing and volunteeringCatered lunches snacks & drinks when working in officesPosition location This role is available in the following locations: Columbus OHTime zone requirements The team operates on the East Coast time zoneAt Upstart your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the below range. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic locationwith our digital first philosophy Upstart uses compensation regions that vary depending on location. Individual pay is also determined by job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
