Description

The Business Analyst, Strategic Growth oversees the day to day operations of expansion strategy for Gracelight Community Health. This role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing a pipeline of potential acquisitions and partnerships, including private medical and dental practices, financially distressed FQHCs, and other healthcare organizations aligned with Gracelight's mission. This is an early-career, high-growth opportunity offering direct mentorship from the Chief Financial Officer and exposure to the full acquisition lifecycle from market sourcing through due diligence, negotiation, and closing. This role is fully onsite and requires regular in-person attendance at Gracelight Community Health locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Conduct industry and market research to identify acquisition and partnership targets
  2. Build and maintain a structured pipeline of opportunities including FQHCs, medical practices, dental groups, and related healthcare entities
  3. Analyze regional healthcare trends, payer mix dynamics, and competitive landscape in Southern California
  4. Leverage databases, public filings, and networks to identify target organizations
  5. Execute outbound communications to executives, practice owners including providers and organizational leaders
  6. Coordinate and participate in introductory meetings with prospective partners and acquisition targets
  7. Develop basic to intermediate financial models to evaluate acquisition opportunities
  8. Analyze target organization financials
  9. Support valuation analysis, pro forma projections, and investment return assessments
  10. Assist in assessing operational performance, revenue cycle, and cost structure
  11. Support due diligence process including financial, operational, regulatory, and compliance review
  12. Coordinate document requests and organize data rooms
  13. Support deal structuring discussions and internal approval processes
  14. Coordinate with legal, accounting, and external advisors during contracting and closing phases
  15. Track deal progress and key milestones
  16. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field 14 years of relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, healthcare administration, corporate finance, or similar preferred Strong interest in healthcare, nonprofit operations, and mission-driven organizations Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Strong Excel skills required; exposure to financial modeling preferred Familiarity with financial statements and basic accounting concepts Comfortable learning new systems and tools
