The Mission Solutions Business Area (MSBA) of the Intelligence Sector of Leidos is seeking a Business Development Director (BD) focused on growing new business focused on Cyber.The Business Development Director is responsible for customer engagement and strategy development to drive solutions-based growth.The candidate must thrive in an environment where they are responsible for bringing Leidos recent and unique insight into advanced cyber capability development including vulnerability research reverse engineering and exploit development in support of our customers most critical missions. Successful candidates must have the ability and resources to engage customers effectively and communicate compelling stories about Leidos cutting-edge technical expertise. Candidates will become well versed in the management and execution of the BD life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals.The BD Director will help shape customer requirements translate tacit customer needs into actionable solution features drive meaningful differentiation in Leidos offerings and help articulate a compelling value proposition. The candidate will be responsible for developing a full understanding of Leidos cyber and mission-enabling capabilities and their application to our customers evolving mission needs. The ideal candidate will have previous government experience a broad understanding of mission requirements and technical solutions experience developing long-term solution roadmaps and the ability to translate strategy into clear win themes. The BD Director is expected to be a critical partner with the technology team and solution architects to align business and technology strategies.Primary ResponsibilitiesBring insight into customer needs and emerging requirements related to vulnerability research reverse engineering exploit development and advanced cyber tool/capability developmentCommunicate compelling mission-focused stories about Leidos capabilities to drive customer engagementGrow and strengthen the opportunity pipelineincluding adjacent marketsthrough timely identification and qualification of new business opportunitiesPartner with Business Area and Division leadership to refine strategy and shape a solution-based growth portfolioLead and participate in the identification qualification and pursuit of strategic business opportunitiesParticipate as a thought leader in bid decisions gate reviews and development of cost strategiesEngage in capture activities including gate reviews black-hat sessions collaboration sessions proposal reviews and business case developmentServe as a connector between Growth and the CTO organization to drive mission alignment and opportunity developmentDrive the development and submission of white papers capability demonstrations and RFI responses to proactively shape strategic opportunitiesConduct after-action reviews and other business reviews to capture lessons learned and recommend adjustments to capture strategy and executionBasic QualificationsRequires a BA degree and 15 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 13 years of relevant experience including 5 years assessing integrating and deploying advanced commercial technical capabilities to support intelligence mission needsIC leadership experience in mission-critical solutions involving cyber capability development including vulnerability research reverse engineering or exploitation analysisExperience gathering technical requirements and translating them into solution elementsDemonstrated success deploying technical solutions to address complex intelligence problemsAbility to identify develop and maintain strong customer relationships with senior-level officials and IC program stakeholdersKnowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to model competitor behaviorsAbility to identify key growth areas and develop new business aligned with corporate strategyAbility to collaborate effectively across organizational boundariesKnowledge of Government contracting acquisition trends and customer buying behaviorsExcellent written and oral communication skills; experience presenting to senior executives peers and customersTS/SCI clearance with polygraph requiredPreferred QualificationsSuccessful management of a qualified pipeline of $2.5BExtensive experience working in or with specific IC customersIf youre looking for comfort keep scrolling.
