Job Description

Lyons Company a Fidelity Company is seeking a Business Development Representative to support our growing New Construction and Design-Build project portfolio from our Bowling Green KY office.In this role you will be the driving force behind identifying upcoming construction opportunities building strategic relationships and securing mechanical project work including design-build plan/spec and large-scale mechanical system installations. Your work will directly shape our project pipeline and strengthen our presence in the commercial and industrial markets.What Youll Bring: Proven success in business development or sales within commercial construction mechanical contracting HVAC or related industries. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the design-build and plan/spec construction process. Ability to read and interpret plans specs and technical documents. Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions. Strong negotiation proposal presentation and closing skills. Self-driven organized and motivated to exceed goals. Proficiency with CRM tools Microsoft Office Suite and sales platforms. Ability to collaborate with Engineering Operations and Project Management teams. Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.What Youll Do: Identify and pursue new construction design-build and mechanical project opportunities within the region. Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors developers architects engineers and key decision-makers. Actively engage the market through networking bid invitations outreach and in-person meetings. Review project plans and specs coordinate with internal teams and assist with budgeting estimating and proposal strategy. Present proposals negotiate scope and pricing and secure project awards. Maintain an accurate and organized sales pipeline and customer records within the CRM system. Follow up on bids and outstanding proposals to increase win rates. Stay ahead of market trends competitor activity and upcoming construction opportunities. Partner with Project Managers Engineers and Operations leaders to ensure smooth transition from sales to execution. Represent the company at trade shows industry events association meetings and community functions.
