About the RoleThe Business Development Senior Manageris an integral part of Lathams Business Development (BD) role will be responsible for spearheading business development initiatives and enhancing client engagement within the firms Capital Markets & Public Company Representation practice while serving as a subject matter expert within the BD Department for capital markets and public company representation offerings. This role will be located in our New Yorkoffice. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.Responsibilities & QualificationsOther key responsibilities include:Developing and executing business development client engagement and marketing strategies for Lathams capital markets and public company representation services focusing on measurable impact and ROIBuilding and maintaining a deep understanding of the firms client base and supporting efforts to secure new business while protecting existing relationships and market shareCollaborating generously with cross-functional teams on strategic projects and initiatives including but not limited to business and marketing plans industry events conferences seminars client teams league table and directory submissions panel requests for proposals (RFPs) and pitchesAnalyzing aggregating and preparing partners to capitalize on intelligence and data across products markets sectors clients targets and competitorsArticulating Lathams brand value proposition and market position across financial products and global economic centers while connecting insights across the platformProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive confidential privileged financial and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retainsWed love to hear from you if you:Possess superior understanding of global public and private financial markets including the legal and financial aspects of capital markets and public company representation products and services trends and players within the industryDemonstrate knowledge of BD services and marketing principles spanning CRM client teams pitch and RFP responses seminar/event/conference planning client targeting competitive and market intelligence internal communications branding and researchExhibit superior leadership skills (i.e. organizing planning problem-solving and decision-making) necessary for effective managementAnd have:A bachelors degree in business economics marketing or lawAn advanced degree preferablyA minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible business development and marketing experience in legal/professional services preferablyA minimum of five (5) years of supervisory/management experience Benefits & Additional InformationSuccessful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
