Join Gilead and help create possible, together.Job DescriptionThe OTC (Order-to-Cash) Business Lead (Regional Process Lead – Americas) is accountable for the operational ownership, transformation, and ongoing performance of the Order-to-Cash process across the Americas region (US, Canada, LATAM), with extended support to Australasia markets.This role operates as the regional authority for OTC process execution and delivery, combining hands-on operational leadership with Global Process Lead (GPL) governance accountability. The focus is on ensuring consistent execution of global standards, successful delivery of SAP programs, and seamless new product launch readiness and execution.As the Order-to-Cash (OTC) Business Lead - Americas at Gilead you will ...Key Responsibilities1. Regional OTC Operational Process OwnershipOwn the day-to-day performance and execution of OTC processes across:US, Canada, LATAM marketsOversee key process areas:Customer Master DataOrder Management & FulfilmentPricing & Contract executionBilling & InvoicingCash ApplicationCredit & CollectionsEnsure consistent adherence to global OTC process standards and controlsAct as the primary escalation point for operational issues and performance gaps2. SAP Programme Delivery & Process IntegrationLead the business execution of SAP S/4HANA programs across the region:Upgrades, releases, and enhancementsTesting coordination and business validationCutover planning and executionEnsure business readiness including:Data readinessProcess alignmentUser adoptionDrive post-go-live stabilization, ensuring minimal disruption to operations3. New Product Launch (NPI) ExecutionOwn OTC readiness for new product introductions across the region, including:Customer and pricing setupOrder-to-bill readinessCredit and compliance alignmentCoordinate cross-functionally to ensure:Launch timelines are metNo disruption to order capture, billing, or cash processesIdentify and proactively resolve risks impacting launch execution or revenue realization4. Regional GPL Governance & Change ControlAct as the regional GPL authority for OTC, ensuring all changes align to global standardsProvide formal decision support on change requests and enhancements, including:Validation of business need and process alignmentPrevention of unnecessary customizationOperate within global governance processes, ensuring:Only value-driven, compliant changes are approvedAct as a control gate for regional deviations, maintaining process integrity5. Process Standardization & Operational SimplificationDrive elimination of:Local workaroundsManual processesNon-standard practices across marketsEnsure consistent process execution across:US vs Canada vs LATAM complexityBalance global standardization with pragmatic regional requirements6. Change Execution & AdoptionDrive operational adoption of new processes and systems, including:Training alignmentStakeholder engagementChange readiness activitiesEnsure changes are fully embedded into operations, not just deployedIdentify and mitigate resistance across regional teamsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and Twelve ExperienceORMasters' Degree and Ten ExperienceORPhD and Eight Years' ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:10+ years’ experience in Order-to-Cash, Finance Operations, or Commercial OperationsProven experience managing regional operations across Americas marketsStrong track record delivering SAP transformation programs (S/4HANA preferred)Experience supporting product launches or commercial readiness activitiesExperience in regulated industries (pharma / life sciences) preferredStrong operational process leadership (execution-focused)Deep expertise in end-to-end OTC processes and dependenciesAbility to operate across multiple markets and complexity levelsStrong stakeholder management and escalation handlingData-driven mindset with a focus on performance improvement and outcomesPeople Leader Accountabilities:Create Inclusion - knowing the business value of diverse teams, modeling inclusion, and embedding the value of diversity in the way they manage their teams. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
