OverviewLicensed dentist to supervise volunteer based dental clinic along with direct patient care in a free dental clinic that serves the indigent and uninsured.*Non-exempt because of part time / limited hours status.ResponsibilitiesAssist in recruitment of volunteer dentists and dental assistants.Assists in development and enforcement of policies and procedures for the dental clinic.Assists in the dental clinic budget ordering of equipment and supplies.Assists in the development of the organizational plan for the dental clinical operations.Examine diagnoses counsels and treats adult patients. Does clinical treatment using appropriate methods of pain control during the removal of teeth restoration (fillings) of teeth and Prophylactic treatment. Coordinates activities in the counseling and treatment of patients. Utilizes as completely as possible the Dental Assistant in the counseling and treatment of patients.Participates in community organization activities designed to modify community health behavior epidemiology and/or needs.QualificationsEDUCATION:Required -Graduate of a School of Dentistry recognized by the Council on Education American Dental Association.EXPERIENCE:Required -At least one year experience in tooth extractions and working with indigent population. Ability to plan and evaluate patient care policies and dental quality assurance program.Preferred -More than five years of dentistry experience working with the indigent population.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDDrivers License Valid Drivers LicenseBLS (CPR) AHA Health Care Provider BLSRequired -Licensed to practice dentistry by the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners.Note -If driving Cone Health vehicle must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.PREFERRED Key Skills Post Residency Experience,Dentrix,SOAP,.NET,Communication skills,Haskell,HIPAA,Chairside Assisting,Pediatrics Experience,Medical Imaging,Eaglesoft,Mentoring Employment Type : Part-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
