Job Description

The Business Office Manager will need to have experience and/or basic knowledge with billing and collection procedures i.e. Medicare Medicaid Insurance and Private Insurance. AR/AP experience is a must.Position SummaryThe Business Office Manager directs the overall administrative billing accounting and payroll functions of the Business Office in accordance with all applicable laws regulations and Life Care standards.Education Experience and Licensure RequirementsMinimum of an associates degree or equivalent experienceTwo (2) years of office management experience preferredOne (1) year in post acute care or other geriatric related field preferredSpecific Job RequirementsPlan organize develop implement and interpret the programs goals objectives policies and procedures as well as the laws regulations and guidelines governing the business office functions in the post acute care facilityMake independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionKnowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws regulations and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facilityImplement and interpret the programs goals objectives policies and procedures of the departmentMust perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights and safety and sanitationMaintains professional working relationships with all associates vendors etc.Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life CaresCode of Conductand completes mandatoryCode of Conductand other appropriate compliance trainingEssential FunctionsEffectively manage and oversee bookkeeping functions including: posting payments and charges to patient ledgers balance daily receipts collect delinquent accounts and evaluate need for and refer delinquent accounts to collection agenciesMaintain facility checkbook and reconcile checkbook regularlyManage and oversee patient accountsRecruit select hire train evaluate counsel and supervisor business office staffEffectively manage and operate within budgetExhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsAssist in the evacuation of patientsDemonstrate dependable regular attendanceConcentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentCommunicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamSit stand bend lift push pull stoop walk reach and move intermittently during working hoursRead write speak and understand the English languageAn Equal Opportunity EmployerRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Office Manager Experience,Microsoft Office,Management Experience,QuickBooks,Accounting,Office Experience,Dental Office Experience,Payroll,Administrative Experience,Eaglesoft,Human Resources,Bookkeeping Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
