Job Description
ResponsibilitiesThe individual selected for this position will fill a role as an Engineering Manager in support of the programs clearance resource pipeline. The EM will report directly to the Program Manager providing SE&I leadership and serving as an Individual Contributor in support of the Customer. Specific roles and responsibilities consist of but are not limited to the following:Engineering Manager Role:Serve as the program representative for the resource center team ranging in size from 1 to 10 employees at any given timeRecruit internal employees and/or external candidates interested in upgrading their security clearance and work the Program Manager and Customer for sponsorship approvalHold regular events which allow resource center employees to be engaged with the program and help to prepare them for what they can expect when they come onboardCoordinate subordinate employee recruitment selection and training performance assessment salary and recognition/disciplinary actions Compile monthly status to the Program ManagerCollaborate regularly with other Engineering Managers and Leads to assess needed skillsets on programSupport employee on-boarding as well as employee mentoring and support as neededIndividual Contributor Role (may vary depending on specific candidate selected):Interaction daily with Senior Leadership to provide technical consultative facilitative administrative support to the Sponsors governance process and boardAssist in the creation and coordination processes of all boards through maintenance of policies decision-making structures charters etc.Track and manage Action Items minutes generating quarterly/yearly reports as requiredFacilitate governance meetings enter/update configuration tracking information in appropriate databases develop board agendas notify meeting attendees and enter board-related data in appropriate databasesWork with enterprise-level Governance to create and maintain Sponsors content for branding/messaging of board and governance activitiesPlanning and coordinating program management process activities and leveraging experience to recommend streamlined and efficient business processes to include developing standard operating procedures and associated documentationParticipate in efforts to strengthen system SI & SE practices by reviewing and re-baselining processes and supporting documentationContribute to evolving process improvements for the benefit of the enterpriseQualificationsThe following knowledge skills and abilities are required for successful performance of the activities associated with this position:TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.Minimum 10 years experience may have supervisory or lead experienceExperience working on a Systems Engineering & Integration contract Customer Domain experience within the last yearDemonstrated Governance experience within the last yearCustomer-centered approach to all interactions required in support of position activitiesStrong analysis and organizational skillsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writingOn-site work experienceBenefits:Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Peraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
