Business System Analyst Location by Preference: Austin Houston Richmond Hybrid: 3-days per week Visa: USCGC (NO FAKE VISA) Contract to Hire Experience should include: Proven BA experience in insurance or financial services. Hands-on knowledge of Surety Bonds. Strong communication and documentation skills. Education: Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience Certifications: LEAN and/or Agile certifications a plus Insurance certifications or affiliation with industry group a plus Previous experience working with surety bonds (huge plus) Work Experience: 5 years relevant professional experience 5 years experience as a business systems analyst ideally gained in either an insurance or insurance related business environment. Experienced practitioner of analysis and modelling tools Significant Experience with Agile processes and frameworks Familiarity with design thinking and customer centric design Skill Sets: Excellent stakeholder management and written and oral communication skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; ability to identify resolve issues with minimal guidance Ability to communicate highly technical information in a business-friendly manner Can identify dependencies beyond immediate work Excellent collaborative skills and facilitation skills Strong organization and time management skills Attention to detail and focused on accuracy Strong desire for continuous improvement Viewed as leader in team; coaches and mentors less experienced team members Demonstrated history of building partnerships across all teams and levels Ability to convey information needed with few iterations Strong data querying and data interpretation skills with good understanding of database concepts. Sound understanding of the software development process including analysis design coding system and user testing.
