Job DescriptionJob DescriptionReno Staffing is looking for a Packaging Assistant for a Full Service Meat Processing Establishment in Reno!This is a full time position at a company serving local ranchers and businesses in your community! Work closely with trained butchers packaging fresh meat. This is a great opportunity for those that are interested in learning more about the industry. Shift: M-F 6am-2:30pmPay: $18/hr.Location: Reno, 89502 NOT ON THE BUSLINE. Only candidates with their own reliable transportation will be considered. Summary: As a Packaging Assistant you would be part of a small team that would build boxes, wrap freshly cut meat, weigh the product and label them accordingly.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Other duties may be assigned.Must be able to work in cool temperatures. (about 40 degrees)Package fresh meatMaintain a clean a sanitary work areaOperate a labeling machineoperate a meat packaging machineMust be organized and detailed orientedBuild sturdy boxesAssist in loading and unloading product for customersAt the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job related activities not specifically outlined above.Competency:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Must be able to lift up to 100lbs or more using team lift as neededMust be able to be productive a cool environmentMust have shoes with a good tread on the bottomMust be able to handle fresh, raw meatMust be able to perform manual labor for the entire shiftMust be able to pivot with no issuesYou must be able to work in a small environmentNo drama will be toleratedPlease submit a resume to [email protected] A 4 panel drug test needs to be passed in order to qualify for this position.
