Salary will be determined by the applicants education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.Estimated annual base pay: $62000.00 (minimum) - $80000.00 (midpoint) - $99000.00 (maximum)All members included in annual cash bonus opportunity.401(k) match (4.5%)Annual Woodward stock contribution (5%)Tuition reimbursement and Training/Professional Development opportunities for all members 12 paid holidays including floating holidays.Industry leading medical dental and vision Insurance upon date of hireVacation / Sick Time / Vacation Buy-up / Short Term Disability / Bereavement leave.Paid parental leave.Adoption AssistanceEmployee Assistance Program including mental health benefits.Member Life & AD&D / Long Term Disability / Member Optional LifeMember referral bonusSpouse / Child Optional Life / Optional AD&D / Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible SpendingVoluntary benefits including:Home / Auto Insurance discountsWhole Life Insurance / Critical Illness Insurance / Legal Assistance / Military LeaveKey Responsibilities:Plans schedules releases and manages purchase interplant orders and work orders as requiredDirects supplier action by reviewing ERP and utilizes the data in order to mitigate anticipated delaysNegotiates and institutes long-term pricing agreements as appropriateQuotes deliveries for sales requestsDevelops and maintains communication channels between various departments and the supply chain to maintain the flow of materials to support the customerMakes changes to supply based on review analysis and the outcome of monthly SIOP meetingMaintains and analyzes planning parameters (i.e. lead times lot sizes order quantities safety stock)Participates in capacity review meetings with internal and external suppliersMonitors and maintains inventory levels in alignment with business group goalsEnsures government compliance throughout the procurement processManages non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)Formulates requests for quotes based on COE requirements ensuring flow down of contractual requirementsSelects and awards direct material purchase orders for assigned productsPerforms price analysis for competitive and non-competitive procurements; responsible for obtaining favorable price variancesDevelops and executes strategies for negotiation of purchase order terms: price delivery expedites etc.Manages suppliers (post-award) with a strong focus on internal customer support (message management)Works with internal and external suppliers to resolve material issues (shortages emergency customer demands etc.)Key Skills:Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate favorable terms and prices with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.Analytical Abilities: Proficient in analyzing market trends pricing data and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.Communication Skills: Effective in communicating with suppliers internal teams and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and expectations.Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing purchase orders contracts and inventory levels to prevent errors and ensure accuracy.Vendor Management: Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to secure reliable supply chains and favorable terms.Time Management: Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and business objectives.Problem Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues in the supply chain and implement effective solutions to maintain smooth operations.Knowledge of Procurement Software: Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software to streamline purchasing processes.Supply Chain Management: Ability to navigate ERP (SAP preferred) Ops Management and Logistics where material can be manufactured into a finished product.Inventory Management: Ability to develop and monitor controls for inventory limits.Other Qualifications:4-year degree or equivalent experience preferredPrevious buying material planning and/or production planning experience in a Government Contract environment if no degreeClear understanding of Nondisclosure Agreement Requirements and Proprietary DataAbility to demonstrate knowledge of ITAR and EAR requirementsDemonstrated cost/price analysis skills required for competitive and non-competitive procurementsUnderstanding of Government Contracting; including FAR DFARS and other government regulationsAbility to demonstrate knowledge of sizing material planning and production schedulingDemonstrated involvement in Continuous Improvement projectsThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
