Key Responsibilities Source and evaluate new suppliers to ensure a robust and reliable supply chain. Negotiate pricing terms and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions. Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials components and MRO items. Monitor inventory levels and material forecasts to prevent stockouts and minimize obsolescence. Collaborate with production engineering and quality teams on material specifications and lead times. Resolve supplier performance issues related to quality delivery and invoicing discrepancies. Identify and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain. Recommended Qualifications Experience in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite). Demonstrated strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Solid understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control. Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings. Bonus Qualifications Deep technical understanding of manufacturing processes materials or engineering drawings. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g. CSCP CPSM CPIM). Proficiency in advanced ERP/MRP functionalities for forecasting demand planning or inventory optimization.
