A Sea of Supplier.For more information visit our website at.Position Overview:A Buyer I is responsible for negotiating and procuring materials equipment and supplies from approved suppliers. This position will rely on pre-established guidelines and instructions to perform the functions of the job. Execution will be performed through commonly-used procurement concepts practices and procedures through an official spend and approval matrix. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Interface with suppliers engineers and other departmentsDevelop and maintain professional relationships with suppliersRequest evaluate and negotiate quotes/contractsProcess and execute purchase orders in accordance with company policy and spend/approval matrixEnsure procurement specifications drawings and supplemental info is properly transmitted to suppliersAssess supplier performance for contracts and purchase ordersMaintain and monitor inventory levels within scope of procurement responsibilitiesExpedite orders and provide status updates as requiredSupport the departments continuous improvement and cost reduction goalsPerform system maintenance within scope of responsibilitiesResolve invoice discrepancies as requiredMonitor Master Supply and Non-Disclosure agreements for modification and/or renewal Manage special projects ensuring accuracy high quality standards and timely completionOther duties as assigned by Procurement Supervisor Manager of Procurement or Regional Procurement ManagerEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or GED is requiredSome College PreferredOne (1) to Three (3) Years Procurement Experience low volume - high mixJob Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Ability to work with changing demands in a fast paced environmentStrong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organizationKnowledge of MS Office to include Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and ERP SoftwareMust be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasksNecessary to be a team player with the ability to work effectively with other departments on special projects as assignedDue to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions successful applicants must be a US Person (US Citizens US Nationals lawful permanent residents asylees or refugees).**************************************************What can Teledyne offer YOUA Competitive Salary & Benefits PackageExcellent Health Dental VisionPaid Vacation TimePaid Sick TimeLife Insurance BenefitsPaid Holidays401(k) EligibilityEmployee Stock Purchase PlanFitness ChallengesEducational Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Fun Events throughout the yearTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
