Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesThis CAD Designer/Drafter will focus on supporting NAVWAR clients, providing comprehensive engineering documentation and technical drawing support for globally-distributed naval information technology infrastructure. The candidate will develop and maintain detailed technical drawings and documentation for complex IT systems, network architectures, and cybersecurity frameworks while ensuring compliance with government and industry standards. The position supports engineering services for Navy Enterprise Networks with emphasis on creating mature work products that facilitate system implementation, troubleshooting, security assessment, and sustainment of fielded IT systems across the naval enterprise.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, edit, and maintain engineering documentation packages and installation drawings for globally-distributed Naval Enterprise NetworksSupport Information Technology engineering functions across the full IT Lifecycle including infrastructure, network systems, and enterprise management servicesDevelop technical documentation for complex system specifications, interfaces, and performance parametersPerform peer review and QA of drawings to ensure compliance with Government and industry standardsAssist with installation processes and procedures documentation to provide mature work productsSupport engineering documentation for cyber security assessments, authorization, and Risk Management FrameworkCollaborate with systems engineers, network engineers, and IT specialists on technical documentationConduct online research for equipment specifications when requiredImplement changes to drafts promptly based on feedback from engineering, clients, and shipyardsWork under tight scheduling to successfully develop and deliver drawings within schedule requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree and 3+ years of technical documentation and CAD design experience (OR Associate's Degree and 6+ years OR High School diploma and 9+ years)Experience with AutoCAD and engineering documentationExperience with IT systems documentation and network diagramsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe AcrobatExperience with Installation Requirement Drawings (IRDs), Installation Support Drawings (ISDs), Installation Control Drawings (ICDs), and Installation Design Plans (IDPs) and Navy SIPH.Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (active Secret clearance preferred)Must be a US citizenDesired QualificationsExperience with ship and shore site surveysExperience supporting Department of Navy projectsFamiliarity with NAVWARActive Secret clearanceOverviewNoblis and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI, and Noblis MSD tackle the nation's toughest problems and apply advanced solutions to our clients' most critical missions. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.Posted Salary RangeUSD $59,200.00 - USD $92,575.00 /Yr.
