CAD Drafter at LPC Personnel

Position OverviewThe Drafter will be responsible for developing clear accurate 2D shop drawings and submittal documents for anchor bolts embeds and grating products. This role also includes light project coordination; from takeoff and RFI preparation through drawing revisions BOM updates and release to production. Applicants should bring strong experience in steel or concrete-related drafting environments.Primary ResponsibilitiesProduce high-quality 2D fabrication drawings for anchor bolt layouts template assemblies base plates embedded steel components and grating configurationsInterpret structural and concrete drawings specifications general notes and schedules to ensure accurate detailingCreate issue and track RFIs; maintain revision histories; and keep drawing sets and material lists currentBuild precise bills of materials including material grades coatings and finishes (e.g. ASTM F1554 Gr 36/55/105 A36 A572 hot-dip galvanizing)Collaborate with sales production planning purchasing and the shop floor to confirm priorities delivery needs and fabrication timelinesAssemble submittal packages support customer approval workflows and maintain required documentation throughout the project lifecycleMinimum RequirementsAt least 3 years of drafting experience within the steel fabrication concrete construction or related structural industriesSkilled in AutoCAD 2D (or comparable 2D CAD software)Strong print reading abilities with familiarity in detailing conventions including weld symbols hole patterns and connection detailsEffective communication with customers engineers project managers and shop personnelStrong attention to accuracy document control and version managementPreferred QualificationsPrevious exposure to anchor bolt detailing template design rebar cages embedded steel or grating takeoffsWorking knowledge of AWS welding symbols and standard AISC detailing practicesExperience using Bluebeam for markups takeoffs and drawing reviewsBasic Excel skills for updating BOMs takeoff sheets and schedulesIf you are looking for a company with room to grow great benefits and a great work environment we encourage you to apply or give us a call!
